Red Nose Day launched in the USA in 2015 and returned for the second time on 26th May 2016, raising a total of $34 million. People from all over the States came together to have fun and raise money at home, school and work for kids who need it most both in the US and in some of the poorest communities in the world.
The day’s events culminated in a two-hour live primetime TV special on NBC, featuring some of the biggest stars across comedy, music, TV and film to inspire the nation to give generously. Money raised will be used to fund programmes to keep children and young people safe, healthy and educated.
Red Nose Day USA is run by Comic Relief Inc. which is an independent sister organisation of Comic Relief UK. Comic Relief Inc. and Comic Relief UK are independent organisations related through their shared vision of a just world free from poverty; and with the same mission to effect positive change through the power of entertainment.
