12 firefighters race against the clock
Firefighters at Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service pulled out all the stops for Red Nose Day 2015, climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest, not once but three times.
The 12 strong team took one-hour shifts over a 24 hour period to race up and down the 97 steps of local landmark, the White Watch Central. In case you’re wondering (and thinking of trying it too) it’s 289,642 steps or 18 miles high.
A truly epic challenge that raised a breath-taking £2,368.
